The origin of Birmex goes back more than one hundred years, created by the Mexican Government, the institution has gone through several names and divisions; but Birmex was founded as it is today in 1999. No matter the name, its main goal has always been to guarantee enough vaccines to help preserve the population's health through its high quality products.

Birmex has two production plants, one for bacterial vaccines and one for viral vaccines. In addition, Birmex produces antivenoms, antitoxins and biological reagents.

Our clients needs' satisfaction is a fundamental goal in the daily operations of the company. That is why we have internally developed the strictest guidelines of internal control to which our suppliers, raw materials, equipment, processes and products are submitted. Moreover, the biologicals manufactured, before being released to the market, are subject to an external sanitary control performed by the National Regulatory Authority. This way we guarantee that all our products comply with the sanitary guidelines established and are effective in the prevention and diagnosis of the diseases for which they are intended.

In our continuous development, at Birmex, we are looking for new products through research, with the strictness implied by Scientific excellence, that favors the development and the constant updating of all our personnel in the scientific, technical and administrative areas.

Our goal is to maintain the leadership on whatever we produce and commercialize, and to do so we maintain a policy of constant renovation and improvement that will allow us to better satisfy the health needs of the population.

That is why we have looked towards the international market keeping as a goal the commercialization of our products in other countries and the establishment of strategic alliances that will bring for the wellbeing to the people to whom our products are provided.
